Erato Chatzisavva

Rector of Athens School of Fine Arts

She was born in Nicosia in 1966. She studied with an IKY scholarship at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA).

She completed her studies in the Postgraduate Program of ASFA “Digital Forms of Art”.

She holds a PhD from the University of Cyprus, where she prepared a thesis on the topic: “The role of Cypriot visual artists in the years of British rule 1878-1959”.

She was elected Assistant Professor in the Department of Fine Arts of ASFA in 2013.

She has been awarded the First Prize (Golden Lighthouse) of the Alexandria Biennale in 2005.

In 2017, she participated with the exhibition “Repatriation of Venus” in the official events of

Pafos as the Cultural Capital of Europe.

Today she is Rector of the Athens School of Fine Arts and Director of the 13th Painting Studio of ASFA.
